Medical equipment company ResMed Motor Technologies has announced the relocation of its manufacturing facility from Chatsworth, Calif., to Calabasas, Calif. The company signed a 15-year lease at an R&D industrial building at 26801 Agoura Road, which is owned by Cypress Land Co. ResMed is expected to move in at the beginning of 2024.
Mike Tingus and Grant Fulkerson of Lee & Associates negotiated on behalf of the landlord, while Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant. According to the brokerage, ResMed wanted to expand into a larger facility with additional parking spaces.
“Finding the right location for companies seeking critical industrial facilities of this size is a challenge in this market, and this location met all the needs that ResMed required,” Tingus said.
The new location also allows the company to tap into the nearby labor market in the Conejo Valley area. Notably, 26801 Agoura Road had previously been occupied by communications company Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise, which resided in the building since its completion in 1998. The property — which totals 128,700 square feet of industrial space — boasts dock-high doors and additional office space. It’s also conveniently located close to retail amenities, like Erewhon, and offers immediate access to the 101 Freeway.
