Hyundai America Technical Center, the research and development arm of Hyundai Motor Company, has leased a 91,600-square-foot distribution warehouse at LogistiCenter at Irvine II in Irvine, Calif.
The lease was brokered by Ross Bourne, Keith Black and Nick Spatafore of CBRE, who represented the landlord, Dermody Properties.
This new facility, located at 2 Sterling in Irvine, is expected to open in the coming months. While the specific timeline for Hyundai’s occupancy remains undisclosed, this expansion underscores the company’s continued investment in California and its commitment to supporting its operations in the region.
“The leasing activity at LogistiCenter at Irvine II is indicative of the strong demand for modern industrial facilities in prime locations,” Bourne said.
The Class A warehouse is situated on a 4.4-acre site and offers 8,200 square feet of mezzanine office space, 36-foot clear height, 11 dock-high doors, one ground-level door, 74 parking stalls and a dedicated truck court. Equipped with an advanced fire sprinkler system, the property is currently pursuing LEED certification.
Dermody Properties is actively developing its presence in Irvine, Calif. In addition to the recently leased 91,600-square-foot warehouse at LogistiCenter at Irvine II, the company is also developing LogistiCenter at Irvine I — a 133,320-square-foot industrial property slated for completion later this year. Both properties are strategically located southeast of I-5 and within close proximity to Irvine Spectrum — a 5,000-acre, mixed-use district boasting more than 38 million square feet of commercial space.
Hyundai America Technical Center, which established its presence in Orange County in 2003 with a 90,000-square-foot facility at 81 Bunsen, is the latest tenant to join the thriving industrial market in Irvine.
