National design/build firm ARCO Design/Build (ARCO) recently celebrated the grand opening of its new office space in downtown Charleston, S.C. The new location at 7 Radcliffe St., Suite 200, incorporates 6,000 square feet of office space and comprises the entire second floor of the building.
The strategic downtown location at the heart of Charleston’s business district overlooks King Street and marks an expansion of operations for ARCO by supporting its growing team and enhanced client services. Featuring design elements that pay tribute to Charleston’s architectural heritage, the space has refurbished wooden floors and locally inspired decor. On-site amenities also include a golf simulator and dedicated entertainment spaces that were designed to enhance functionality for both client meetings and team collaboration.
“Our expansion into downtown Charleston represents a strategic investment in a market that is integral to our Southeast regional growth,” said ARCO President, Eric Thompson, who oversees Charleston, Charlotte, and Greenville operations. “The port’s connectivity to major industrial highways creates unique development opportunities. The talented Charleston workforce has been instrumental in serving our diverse client base across multiple sectors, which remains a cornerstone of ARCO’s business.”
ARCO’s team in Charleston experienced roughly 20% growth in the previous year and plans on expanding further in 2025. In particular, the firm’s plans for this year include diversifying its market focus beyond traditional industrial warehouses. While maintaining its strong position in the industrial, industrial outdoor storage (IOS), and self-storage sectors, ARCO also plans to leverage its design-build expertise to serve clients in life sciences, advanced manufacturing, and commercial and entertainment.
