Local company Modernizing Medicine is expanding yet again. The biotech firm has joined the tenant roster at the Boca Raton Innovation Campus, through a 50,000-square-foot lease mediated by JLL.
The nearly 50-year-old Boca Raton office campus maintains a Class A improvement rating and is uniquely adapted to its location—this 1.7 million-square-foot, industrial style-designed building is made to withstand hurricanes and to ensure 24/7 operation, by including its own generator. Campus amenities also include a state-of-the-art fitness center, dedicated conference and event spaces, a bistro-style café and atrium dining hall.
Modernizing Medicine joins tenants like Everglades College, Tyco Security, Verizon Wireless, Bodylogic, Cogent, NTT America, and more.
The lease at 5000 T-Rex Ave marks the fourth location for the biotech software company. Modernizing Medicine’s headquarters is also in Boca Raton, in the Innovation Center 6 building, within the Research Park at Florida Atlantic University.
Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie stated: “Modernizing Medicine has been a part of the City of Boca Raton’s corporate community since 2012. With their recent acquisitions, and impressive and continued growth, we’re proud that the Modernizing Medicine team has decided to remain headquartered in Boca Raton and create over 800 jobs in our city.”
The company’s two other locations are the Weston Corporate Center II, in Weston, Fla., and the Slate Creek Corporate Center I in Roseville, Calif.
