Comprised of two red granite towers, the One and Two Renaissance Square buildings form a high-rise complex in downtown Phoenix.
The buildings sit at the heart of Phoenix’s commercial business district on a full city block bounded by Adams, Central and Washington streets and 1st Avenue.
In 2008, Hines acquired the buildings and in 2016, the complex reportedly fetched $151 million in a sale to funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management in Cypress Office Properties. Hines continues to manage the buildings and the new owners also reportedly plan to spend $50 million upgrading the complex
Halfway up the structures, a pedestrian sky bridge connects the two towers allowing residents to access the full range of amenities these buildings offer. There’s a selection of renovated lobbies, conference and training facilities, subterranean on-site parking, and plenty of outdoor space.
The extensive 20,000 square foot in-house fitness center also features a cardio studio, indoor basketball court, training area, free weights, racquetball courts, personal training, laundry service, private showers and lockers, and much more.
Collectively known as Ren Square, the two buildings are LEED Gold Certified and are a Heavy Medal Awards winner as designated by the US Green Buildings Council (USGBC). The properties won the 2018 BOMA Outstanding Building of the Year for the fourth straight year in the 500,000-1,000,000 SF category.
Both One and Two Renaissance Square were also awarded the Energy Star label from 2008 through 2017 for their operating efficiency.
One Renaissance Square has 26 floors and stands 347 ft. The 28-floor Two Renaissance Square tower is 372 ft tall. Both buildings have an average floor plate of 20,000 rentable square-feet.
The complex was originally designed by the architecture firm Emery, Roth & Sons, Inc. Tower One was completed in 1987 and Tower Two was completed in 1989.
